replaces existing felt which should divert rainwater into
your guttering, however natural weathering destroys the felt and
the water often ends up running down the fascia board leaving
black streaks. This can often be recognised by "staining"
in the soffit, (water running behind the fascia board, this is
the real damaging effect of rotten felt).
