Side and top-hinged casement windows are the most common
type of PVCu window and they afford the customer the widest range
of designs to suit a variety of different house styles.
Finesse, though committed to cutting edge design, still acknowledges
the importance of safety and security. Our high security
8-point locking system incorporates the latest shoot-bolt, locking
hinges, roller-cam bolts, grip-lock and dead-bolt fitted, as standard
to all casement windows, the fear of intruders should be a thing
of the past. Casement windows also have dual-position locking
(night vent position), allowing ventilation without compromising
security.
Other standard fittings include fire egress hinges to
side opening sashes in upstairs windows to allow easier access/exit
in the event of fire and restrictor hinges fitted to larger top-hung
lower opening windows to limit the window aperture in windy conditions.
Windows can be further enhanced by face-fixed Georgian bars,
Georgian insert bars, various leaded, or cut-glass bevel designs,
choose a coloured glass from our huge variety of stained glass
overlay.
